This beautiful lighting fixture was created from laboriously hand stretching rods of molten colored glass, then twisting them together into patterns in what is know as glass cane. Once cooled, the individual glass cane lengths are artistically arranged, then heated again till all melts together into a solid whole. Finally the glass shade is heated again and thermal formed into its concave oval shape and signed by the artist Brock Madison. The colors of the lamp shown are: Olive/teal, black/amber both combinations are randomly intertwined with a silver/bronze which adds both a layer of aesthetic appeal and helps the sconce compliment many types of interiors both contemporary or old world.
The Cane Series Sconce is available in the following

size: 14" Diameter (+/-) uses 3 standard medium based 40w bulbs or Compact Fluorescent equivalent
100% Brass hardware has hand rubbed oil-rub bronze patina

*Special note; Because of the nature in which the lamps are hand crafted, each lamp will be an individual work of art and thus we cannot guarantee the canes will be exactly the same from lamp to lamp. However, special care is taken when two or more lamps will be hung together ensuring overall color and the look of the cane is as close as possible

Created by fusing colorful colored glass strips together, it is then placed in a kiln and thermoformed to its final shape. The glass lamp lays flush with the wall as to limit the amount of white light to escape from around the edges thus the Aurora Borealis glass sconce lamp will cast beautiful rainbow striations around the room and wall where it is placed. The shade can be adjusted to allow more white light to escape around it's edges.
